SlittingSlitting is a process of cutting steel coils to close width tolerances. Usually this is the last process prior to shipment, hence, a thorough inspection is done here. Packaging per customer specs is also performed at this station. Oiling if necessary is done here. Quality checks in slitter is limited to the width, gage, surface condition, hardness. Following is the specifications of the slitter at Trai-Cor Processing:
